Almost perfect!

I wanted to love this pack but it hurt my lower back. All the weight rests right on your sacrum, the hip belt doesn't have enough back padding to disperse the weight. Also, the shoulder straps could be made from a softer foam. I loved the bottom, front and side pockets—perfect sizes.

Unbound 55 is the best!

It's well made, so it's comfortable to carry heavy items on your back.If you remove the frame and waist belt, it weighs 650g.This is very convenient when you don't have much luggage, such as in the summer.

Hyperlite updates its 2400 pack

My first impression is that the Unbound 40 is a big improvement on my SouthWest 2400. A pack that I was very happy with. You really can't go wrong with it. Bomb proof and very functional. Two of my hiking buddies took a look at my pack and turned around and bought their own. Looking forward to getting out in the next week or two and trail miles with it.Kimche

Having used a competitors ultra light weight pack for adventure racing and hiking for several years I decided that the issues that I had with the pack were finally worth addressing. The Inbound 55 harness fits like a glove and remains comfortable at the end of multiple 10+hour days in a row. The side pockets are easily accessible on the move and the rear pockets are robust and offer an innovative way of dealing with the various items that you need quickly without the need to delve into the pack. Delighted with the Unbound 55. Thoroughly recommended.
